In the episode The Blood, many references to food, sex, and television were made. When George was in bed with some woman, he was focused more on eating his spicy mustard sandwich than giving her the time of day. His acknowledgment towards her quickly faded, and at the drop of a hat he was digging into his drawer slathering his sandwich with spicy mustard. References such as, "You are hot tonight!", display much irony about the woman and the sandwich. 

In the second clip with Jerry and George in the restaurant, the references are once again made prominent in their discussion. As George was munching on his sandwich like a hungry predator, Jerry quickly responded by saying, "you've combined sex and food into one disgusting uncontrollable urge!". Seinfeld is ultimately suggesting that sex and food go hand in hand with one another, which truly focuses on the theme of daily minutiae in the show. It is displaying behaviors of normal people in their every day lives, but I would say in a more exaggerated manner. Once again, Seinfeld combines the every day life into a comical and thoroughly enjoyable show.
